Bio
Ahmed was born in Alexandria, in May, 1984. With an interest in filmmaking and drawing, he joined the faculty of fine arts and studied oil painting. Before he received his bachelor of fine arts in 2006, he was accepted as a student in the second edition of the Jesuits Cultural Center film school of Alexandria. He graduated in 2007 his graduation film was a short narrative film entitled “Growing Distance”. Ahmed produced his first documentary “The Trip” in 2009 after producing a couple of short experimental films.
Since 2011, he has been dedicating the majority of his creative time to study and work with documentaries, either as a researcher or a filmmaker. He is known for being passionate about the modern history of Alexandria and its cultural and architectural heritage.
His short documentary "17 Fouad Street" won four prizes in Egypt and Spain. His first feature documentary "The City Will Pursue You" premiered in the 19th Ismailia International Film Festival long documentary competition in 2017. 
He worked closely with the late renown Egyptian film critic Samir Farid as a programmer for the modern library of Alexandria since 2008. He also managed the Jesuits Film School of Alexandria between 2019 and 2022.
